Elbativeni Foundation partners Embassy of Ecuador for free six months ICT training for 20 ladies
Elbativeni Foundation in partnership with Embassy of Ecuador has announced a free six months ICT training programe for select 20 ladies empowerment program.
Elbativeni Impressions and Consult was launched at the last edition of ‘The Generation Next Youth Empowerment Summit’ in collaboration with the Embassy of Ecuador in Nigeria and other partners. The event is billed for Abuja on 27th October 2018.
Speaking on the training, Destiny Ruth Obiakoeze, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elbativeni Foundation, said the program themed ‘Project Loop Her’, was a training designed to empower women by getting them acquainted with the world of ICT; and to package them in such a way that by the end of six months of intensive training, the participants would be able to stand out independently, to conquer poverty, through wealth creations via the aid of the ICT knowledge in bridging the gap along the poverty line in the global village through digital marketing, technology and sustainability.
Obiakoeze disclosed that the Embassy of Ecuador sponsored some of the participants by funding and provided the embassy’s facilities that made learning sweet and easy for participants
According to the CEO, through the acquired knowledge, the participants would be able to impact positively to the next generation in waiting, and affect the economy generally by expected positive output.
Obiakoeze called on the Federal Government Agencies and International Bodies through aid facilities for funding to augment the efforts of Elbativeni Foundation for the sustainability of the program.
Speaking during a visit to the ICT classroom in Abuja, Leopold Rovayo, Ambassador of Ecuador to Nigeria, said the foundation was a reliable one to work with, urged the participants to utilise the opportunity to reinvent themselves to become useful to their immediate families and the society at large.
He said: “We found this foundation and I found out that they are reliable so we began to talk about the support of their youth empowerment summit in October last year.
“But I should say that unfortunately, a lot of people that appear who come to the Embassy to propose a lot of things, propose to make Ecuadorian-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce to make this or make that have disappeared.
“I searched them a bit, they are not reliable so at the end of the day we try because we are small we don’t have too many resources but we try to find out reliable people to work with.
“So for the Embassy it’s a pleasure to have this support because on Saturdays we are doing other things not working here.
“So for us it’s very important that the foundation could use this facility.
I have requested my government for a new representative as I know that Nigerian government takes four months to give the agreement and part of my recommendation is that they continue this partnership with the foundation. ” Rovayo said.
