We are in business to serve customers – Royal Exchange GMD
The Group Managing Director of Royal Exchange Plc, Alhaji Auwalu Muktari has identified the prime place of customers in the success of any business, describing them as ‘King’ even as he said that the company is in business to serve customers.
Muktari said this in his personal message to the staffers, shareholders and friends of the company clocks 100 years of robust insurance business in Nigeria.
According to him, “As we enter another era in the history of our great company, Royal Exchange Plc, it is with a great sense of expectation that I write this note and send you greetings. This is also an opportunity to share my innermost thoughts on how we can all contribute to the sustained growth and profitability of Royal Exchange Plc.
“Today, more than ever before, we are challenged to build on the current momentum of positive change in the company by re-dedicating ourselves to the pristine vision and values of our shareholders, which we expect will translate into a bigger and better financial performance at the end of the year, he said.
He said “One of the key drivers for us will be the way and manner we deal with the reason for our being in business – The Customer. We should all realize that the customer is King and we are in business to serve the customer, satisfy his/her needs, exceed expectations by the way and manner we do this and make sure the customer is happy and satisfied enough to recommend us to others.
“Without our ability to grow the business by attracting and retaining new customers, what then is the reason for our being here? Our goal as a corporate entity is the renewed focus on delivering efficient and excellent customer service to our clients and this should be our watchword in the days, weeks and months ahead. This will guarantee for our company, the desired growth and profitability expected by shareholders.
“I want a situation where a Royal Exchange staff is inspired and motivated, with a determination to go the extra mile and exceed nominal expectation by increasing productivity and quality of service. We would therefore appreciate feedback focusing on the positive aspects of our job and suggesting ways of dealing with the negative ones.
“Lastly, let me say that the roadmap for our company remains consistently focused on the attainment of higher goals and objectives. I have no doubt whatsoever that at the end of the day, everyone in this company, regardless of status, will stand to be counted as an integral part of the success story,” he stated.
