Update on Ijegun pipeline fire

Activities have been paralysed while motorists are restricted from the area as a result of the early morning Thursday’s pipeline fire which unconfirmed report said was caused by oil bunkers.

Fire fighters from Lagos State Fire Service who arrived the scene of the incident around 5am are fighting in vain even as the fire keeps increasing.

The combined team of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Civil Defence Corp have just arrived the scene of fire.

Passers by and residents of the area gather on both sides of the road to have a glimpse of the situation.
