Nigeria sets new record with 1,664 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has reported 1,664 new Covid-19 infections in the country in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases jumps to 94,369.
There are 23 states accounting for the new Covid-19 cases in Nigeria including Lagos-642; FCT-407; Plateau-160; Kaduna-83; Rivers-62; Adamawa-47; Nasarawa-38; Abia-29 and Edo-28.
Other states with new Covid-19 cases are Anambra-27; Niger and Ogun-24 each; Imo-15; Oyo-14; Kano and Osun-12 each; Borno-9; Delta and Enugu-7 each; Bauchi, Ekiti and Sokoto-5 each; Jigawa-2.
Meanwhile, 903 Covid-19 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours across Nigeria including 388 community recoveries in Lagos State, 261 in Kaduna State, 87 in Plateau State and 20 in Imo State.
The total number of successfully treated cases in Nigeria is now 77,299 while the national death toll is 1,324 following 5 new fatalities in last 24 hours.
