Nigeria Security: Gov. Ayade Wants Governors to unite in tackling insecurity
Cross River State Governor, Prof Ben Ayade has called on other Governors and various local government council heads in Nigeria to unite in joining the federal government’s fight against insecurity irrespective of political, tribal, and religious differences.
Ayade stated this shortly after the exemplification, commissioning, and an investiture by the Noble Order of Saint John International on him, at St Patrick Catholic Church Calabar.
He said the conferment of the Knight of Saint John International, KSJI, is an urgent call to rededicate his life to the service of God, humanity, and the country, saying he will do everything to support the Federal Government efforts to make Nigeria great.
The Governor who was joined with his wife, Linda noted that the ceremony was neither about Christianity, Islam, nor religion, but the commitment to God, and do everything that will be fair and just to all.
The Governor said the investiture will help him to do the work of God and his commandment which says, Do unto others what you want others to do unto you, will henceforth be his watchword.
