‘NCRIB to use area committees to drive growth’

The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) would utilize the platforms offered by its Area committees spread across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria to drive growth and the relevance of the insurance industry and the insurance broking profession.

This assertion was made by the President of the Council, Dr (Mrs.) Bola Onigbogi during the investiture of the new Chairman of the Port Harcourt Area Committee of the Council in Port Harcourt recently.

Onigbogi said the Council would utilize the existence and spread of the Broking profession of the Area Committees across the country to expand the horizon of the Broking profession.

She said her tenure which would be focused on image and strategic engagement would embark on an aggressive publicity to ensure that insurance is not only sold but bough in Nigeria.

In his inaugural speech, the new Chairman of the Area Committee, Mr. Polycarp Bassey, said the Area Committee was poised to key into the policy direction of the new leadership of the Council by providing effective professional empowerment of members, ensure the image projection and foster effective liaison with critical stakeholders that the industry needed for its growth.
