NCRIB Holds Insurance Day At 2021 Lagos International Trade Fair Tomorrow
The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) has concluded plans to hold a special insurance day at the ongoing Lagos International Trade Fair.
The NCRIB Insurance Day is scheduled for tomorrow Friday, November 12, 2021, between the hours of 11 and 12noon. The programme is part of the NCRIB’s strategies to deepen insurance awareness and growth in Nigeria.
According to the programme of event released today by the NCRIB, a lot of insightful and educating topics have been lined up for presentation by insurance professionals to educate the audience on the importance and benefits of insurance during the programme.
To speak on the topic: ”Why Insurance?” is the President, African Insurance Organisation (AIO) and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, NEM Insurance Plc, Mr Tope Smart; NCRIB Deputy President, Mr. Tunde Oguntade, is expected to speak on “Insurance From Brokers Perspective.”
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Sunu Assurance Plc, Mr. Samuel Ogbodu will deliver the topic “Underwriter and Insurance Value Chain,” while NCRIB Vice President, Mrs. Ekeoma Ezeibe, will talk on “Insuring the Nation, Our Task.”
During the programme, members of the public would be given the opportunity to take a tour of the insurance stand.
The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) is the Umbrella Association of all Registered Insurance Brokers in Nigeria who are by law expected to be registered by it before they can be licensed to operate in the Nigerian Insurance market by the National Insurance Commission. The Council was established by an Act of the National Assembly (NCRIB Act No. 21 of 2003) which was signed into law by the then President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR on 4th July 2003.
Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF) is organized yearly by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
This year’s trade fair which started on Friday, November 5 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, with the theme, “Connecting Businesses, Creating Value,” will end on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
