NCRIB CANVASSES SUPPORT FROM LASG FOR MEMBERS

The PresDr. (Mrs) Bola Onigbogilident of The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) Dr. (Mrs) Bola Onigbogi has called on Lagos State Government to use registered insurance Brokers for all its insurance arrangement.
Onigbogi who used the occasion of the commissioning of the “Plum House” which is the corporate headquarters of Plum Insurance Brokers Limited called on the Lagos State Government to factor in insurance into its prudential strategies.
Dr. Onigbogi also used the grand occasion to commiserate with families of those who lost their lives and properties in the recent Balogun market fire in Lagos. She said government needed to be circumspect by engaging insurance in providing succor to the people when they suffer loses, nothing that by so doing it would make judicious use of such funds spent on post disaster management for other critical projects.
She said insurance which is the pivot for business and social wellbeing must be imbibed by individuals and corporate institutions
Earlier, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kunle Hamzat had advised the insurance industry to forge areas of collaboration with the state government, particularly in the provision of health insurance, which he identified as a major area of concern for the present government in the state.
The “Plum House” has been described as a pride to the insurance industry’s image given its super architectural design and location in the heart of the city.
