NAOWA President Salamatu Yahaya Commissions Multiple Projects In 17 Brigade Nigerian Army
The President NAOWA, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya in implementing her vision of Sustaining Legacies and Upholding the Tenets of Unity and Service, was on an official visit to Katsina State from 12 to 14 April 2023.
Upon arrival, she paid a courtesy call to his Eminence, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji (Dr) Abdulmumuni Kabir Usman, and the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari, CFR where she paid her respects and also informed them of her planned activities.
After the visits, Mrs Yahaya commissioned multiple projects at the NAOWA Model Nursery and Primary School and the NAOWA College Katsina.
These projects include the Mrs Ruth Danladi Kaka Block of Classrooms, Barr (Mrs) Apollonia Ezugwu Home Economics and ICT Laboratory, An Administrative Block, Multipurpose Hall, Science Laboratory Block, all immortalised in the name of the NAOWA President Hajiya Salamatu F Yahaya.
Additionally, Mrs Yahaya planted a tree in front of the Administrative Block. These establishments are part of the NAOWA Presidents’ intervention project aimed at standardising all NAOWA schools nationwide.
Subsequently, on 13 April 2023, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya paid a courtesy call on His Eminence the Emir of Daura Alhaji (Dr) Faruk Umar Faruk, where she paid homage and also informed His Eminence of her activities in Katsina State.
Thereafter, she took a tour to the famous Kusugu Well in Daura before she proceeded to 171 Battalion Medical Reception Station (MRS), where she commissioned the newly established and equipped Hajiya Salamatu F Yahaya Maternity Ward.
In her remarks she stated that the Maternity Ward was established to provide relevant services to the inhabitants of the barracks and surrounding communities.
High points of the visit include; presentation of plaques to the Executive Governor and the Emir of Katsina and Daura, commissioning of various projects, presentation by pupils and students of the NAOWA schools, cultural displays, charity outreach, tour to historic site, and group photographs.
