NAOWA President Distributes Relief Materials At Giginya Cantonment Sokoto As COAS Conference Commences
As part of the humanitarian Intervention to Giginya barracks community marking the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Annual Conference 2022, the President Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya has distributed relief materials to the Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association (NASWA) and Widows in Ginginya Barracks Sokoto.
Speaking during an interactive session with Soldiers Wives and widows, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya admonished them to be diligent in their homes and pray for their departed spouses.
Earlier in her opening remarks, the Chairperson 8 Division Mrs Glory Bassey appreciated the President of NAOWA for the numerous intervention projects she has embarked on to better the lives of Nigerian Army troops and their families in and outside the Barrack community.
It could be recalled that the President NAOWA Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya on the 24 May 2022 in her usual selfless service to humanity especially the less privileged made a donation of maternity equipment and other medical items to the Special Care Baby Unit of 8 Division Medical Services and Hospital Sokoto.Similarly, she distributed clothing materials and teaching aids to the NAOWA Model Nursery and Primary School in the barrack.
