NAIC Supports FG Diversification Initiative, Pays N464m As Claims
In keeping with its vision of becoming a world class Agricultural Insurance Organization and its mission of being a result oriented institution providing innovative insurance services towards sustained National Agricultural and Economic Development the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC) is working assiduously in ensuring that it keeps its promises.
This is also in support of the Federal Government’s diversification initiative as well as that of ensuring food security in the country.
To this end, NAIC has in the first quarter of 2019 paid claims of ₦464 million to its insured farmers across the country.
This was made known by the Managing Director/CEO of NAIC, Mrs. Folashade Joseph, in a press statement released from her office recently.
She disclosed that prompt payment of claims has always been the cardinal principle of NAIC.
In her words “As a responsible player in the agric insurance space we, at NAIC, believe that prompt payment of claims is the ultimate goal of any insurance business”.
Mrs. Joseph stressed that the Corporation provides insurance cover to all categories of operators, whether small, medium or large scale across the Agricultural Value Chain.
Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation was established by the Federal Government to shield farmers from the adverse effects of natural disasters.
