Leadway Holdings Unveils Second Edition 2.0 “Pages to Places” Literacy Initiative
*Expands to Four New Cities Across Nigeria
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, Leadway Holdings, Nigeria’s leading non-banking financial institution, has unveiled the second edition of its “Pages to Places 2.0″, a groundbreaking initiative designed to reinvigorate the reading culture among primary school students nationwide.
This expanded version promises to be even more engaging and impactful, with a host of new features and activities.
The “Pages to Places” literacy initiative focuses mainly on education and leverages after-school reading clubs in primary schools across eight Nigerian states to instill a love for reading in young students.
The inaugural edition, ‘Pages to Places 1.0,’ was a resounding success, making its mark in 12 schools across six states in Nigeria—Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Kaduna, and Ogun.
This initiative, which is a testament to Leadway’s commitment to education, distributed over 1,500 books, sparking a love for reading among young students.
This year’s edition, tagged “Pages to Places 2.0,” is themed “Travel through Stories” and aims to broaden students’ horizons through the power of storytelling. Scheduled to run from May 22 to June 6, 2024, the initiative will extend to 4 new states: Ibadan, Kano, Abeokuta, and Anambra. It will feature a nationwide book reading tour and interactive storytelling sessions in primary schools to inspire young minds.
Commenting on this commendable initiative, the Group Chief Marketing Officer of Leadway Holdings, Mr. Olusakin Labeodan, expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s programme and its potential impact.

We also believe this initiative will extend beyond the children and encourage local communities to support and participate, fostering an enabling environment for a vibrant learning and reading culture.”
