Insurance Brokers Directors’ Conference 2024 Holds August 13

The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) said it has concluded arrangement to host this year’s all Insurance Brokers Directors’ Conference on August 13, 2024.
The conference which is slated to be held at Raddison Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, is themed “Running an Effective Board”.
The President and Chairman, Governing Board, NCRIB, Mr. Babatunde Oguntade, dropped this hint in his speech at the June edition of the Council’s Members Evening held recently in Lagos.
While inviting Directors of Insurance Broking firms to attend the event massively, the NCRIB President said the Conference would be another intriguing moment in the annals of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers.
Mr. Oguntade said the conference promises to be educative and informative, adding that an array of professional speakers drawn from across the Financial Services Sector had confirmed their readiness to share their personal experiences and practically inform delegates on the rudiment of growing formidable and sustainable institutions.
Emphasising the importance of the conference to Companies Directors, he stated that information on registration modalities would be shared on all its various platforms, and urged members to contact Mrs. Tinu Adeyeye of NCRIB Secretariat for further details.
On the need for continued awareness to enhance the growth of the industry, Mr Oguntade said the Council is committed to raise the bar of insurance awareness in Nigeria through NCRIB Lagos Market Visitation and Insurance Awareness Campaign.
The awareness walk and Market Visitation which held today took off from NCRIB Secretariat at Alagomeji by 7.30 am to Sabo Market, Tejuosho Market, Oyingbo Market as well as Iddo Market.
He reiterated that his administration would continue to adhere to the actualization of the thrust of office tagged “Breaking New Grounds, Sustaining Legacies” without leaving a stone unturned until the very last day.
Mr. Oguntade expressed optimism that the task of making insurance industry or the Insurance Broking Profession an enviable profession among other professions is realizable, adding that the Council has secured sponsorship for its bi Monthly Members’ Evening till April 2025.
“I am persuaded beyond reasonable doubts that the herculean task of ensuring that the Nigerian Insurance Industry, nay, Insurance Broking Profession becomes an enviable profession is realizable. I am most delighted that the Council has created a niche for itself, in terms of brand projection to such extent that all our events now generally command patronage from the Underwriting arm of the industry.
“It is my pleasure to report that our bi monthly Members’ Evening had continued to generate sponsorship. As at the last count, the Council had been able to secure sponsorship for the bi Monthly Members’ Evening till April 2025,” NCRIB boss stated.
