Guinea Insurance Announces Two New Board Appointments
Guinea Insurance Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Ogonna Offor-Orabueze and Mrs. Chioma Okigbo, as Executive Director, Technical and Independent Non-Executive Director respectively.
The appointment of the two Directors which has received the approval of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) took effect from August 1, 2024 and September 1,2024 respectively.
According to a statement by the Company’s Head of Brand and Corporate Communications, Guinea Insurance Plc is pleased to inform its shareholders and the investing public that the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has granted a No-Objection for the appointment of two new Directors to its Board.
Mrs. Offor-Orabueze brings over 15 years of dedicated service to Guinea Insurance Plc, where she previously served as Team Lead, Claims Unit, and Group Lead, Technical Unit.
Her extensive expertise spans risk assessment, damage evaluation, liability exposure, and policy interpretation.
She is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN), holds an MBA from the University of Lagos, and has a Higher National Diploma from Federal Polytechnic, Oko.
She also graduated with distinction from the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), The Gambia, earning recognition as the best student in “Insurance Supervision and Regulation” and “Practice of Marketing.”
Mrs. Chioma Okigbo is the founder and CEO of Modd Management Company Limited, an investment and administrative firm.
With 16 years of experience at Asset & Resource Management Holding Company (ARM), including seven years as Managing Director of two ARM subsidiaries, and previous leadership roles at Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), she brings a wealth of strategic business and financial expertise.
Mrs. Okigbo has also served on the boards of several companies and nonprofit organizations.
