Gov Yahaye Bello Urges Pilgrims To Be Good Ambassadors

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has urged the intending Muslim pilgrims who are embarking on the sacred journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage to be good ambassadors of the state.
He also warned them to exhibit kindly behaviour and ensure that their actions during the pilgrimage bring honour to the confluence state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Muhammed Onogwu.
Bello, who was represented by a senator-elect, acknowledged that the pilgrimage is not only a deeply personal and spiritual endeavour, but that it is also an opportunity to serve as representatives of Kogi State and Nigeria in general.
He congratulated those fortunate to partake in the holy journey, recognising it as a privilege bestowed upon them by the Almighty.
The governor urged them to cherish the opportunity and approach it with utmost reverence and sincerity, reminding the pilgrims that they carry the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of the entire state with them.
As representatives of Kogi State, he stressed the importance of conducting themselves in a manner befitting of this responsibility, calling on them to uphold the values and teachings of Islam- compassion, honesty, and humility.
He said: “These principles should guide their actions not only during the pilgrimage but also in their daily lives. By being good ambassadors of Kogi State. They have the opportunity to showcase the richness Bello implored the pilgrims to use the sacred journey as an opportunity to fervently pray for the development, peace, and transformation of Kogi State and Nigeria in general.
