Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Gov Rotimi Akeredolu, Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia for NCRIB’s 60th Anniversary Celebration

The Governors of Ondo and Lagos States, Rotimi Akeredolu and Babajide Sanwo-Olu including the Chairman, Heirs Group, Mr. Tony Elumelu and the Chairman of Zenith Group, Mr. Jim Ovia, are some of the dignitaries expected to grace the 60th anniversary of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) billed to hold at Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
The flagship events to mark the Council’s 60th Anniversary, which commenced in March with the Unveiling of Mascot and Anniversary Logo is the Diamond Colloquium and the public presentation of the NCRIB 60th Anniversary Book and Compendium of Registered Insurance Brokers.
Speaking at the August edition of the Council Members’ Evening, the NCRIB President, Mr. Rotimi Edu, said the event is a two events rolled into one.
“Happily, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN will Chair the event, while his Lagos State counterpart, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu will give the keynote address. The theme paper: “NCRIB @60: Connecting the Past to the Present, Redefining the Future” will be delivered by the Chairman, Heirs Group, Mr. Tony Elumelu.
“Similarly, there will be Night of Honours and Grand Ball to round up the event later in the year in the same Marriott Hotel, Ikeja on Thursday, October 26, 2022. The Chairman of Zenith Group, Mr. Jim Ovia is the Special Guest of Honour. More information would be shared on the events appropriately.
While calling on members support and cooperation to make all the events remarkably successful, Edu used the opportunity to invite the audience to the proposed epoch making event.
The August edition of the NCRIB Members’ Evening was sponsored by Leadway Assurance Limited.
In his speech, the Managing Director/CEO, Leadway Assurance, Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale, who was represented at the occasion by the Director/Head of Sales, Mr. Shola Ajayi, identified the importance of Brokers in the insurance value chain, saying they are critical to the growth of the industry.
While calling on Brokers patronage, he said Leadway was ready to collaborate with the brokers for the interest of both parties, stating they have already restructured the firm to enhance the partnership.
“We have collapsed our old structure that was along business divisions of Life Insurance and General to revamp as Sales and Technical (including Operations) divisions.
“This will ensure that all our market-facing activities across the Leadway Group (Insurance, Health, Pensions, Fund Management) are intensified for a higher level of efficiency and agility to meet your financial protection and assurance needs all in one.
He said Leadway has put in place technological driven Broker Portal to simplify flow of transaction between Leadway and the Brokers.
“Among other initiatives currently being implemented to improve on our customer experience, we have also put in place a technologically driven broker management solution called the Brokers Portal which was essentially conceived to simplify the process flow of transaction between us as underwriters and you ensuring business can be done in real time and providing more value to you,” he added.
