Faces At RCCG LP49 2024 Elders’ Congress
The Elders’ Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) took place today in various provinces and regions across the country with the theme “Asking In Faith.”
In his message, the General Overseer of the RCCG, World Wide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, charged Christian faithfuls all over the world, to have faith in God, noting that God still answers prayers.
He advised elders to play their roles well by giving the right counseling in order to impact their generations and future generations positively.
While urging Christians to build a personal relationship with God, he also enjoined them to trust, obey and serve God.
”Although God still answers prayers but your level of faith in Him will determine whether He will answer you or not,” he said.
Earlier in his Welcome Address delivered by the General Secretary, LP49 Elders Council, Elder Abiodun Ajasa, Chairman/Coordinator, National Council of Elders, Pastor Abraham Elufowoju, emphasised the importance and benefits of having faith in God.
He cited an example when the people of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir rose against the people of Judah in 2 Chronicles 20:21-30, and how Jehoshaphat through faith and trust in God, appointed singers as was commanded by God, and as they were singing and praising God, the Lord set ambush-men against the enemies of the people of Judah.
He told the elders to always ask in faith so that God will answer them as was done to the people of Judah. “Judah asked in faith and they were answered,” he stated.
Other activities at the Congress include, Health Talk on “Health and Wellness”, medical checks and counseling, Group presentations and special numbers as well as intercessory prayers for the nation, church, elders, families and redemption of the lost souls.
