Others expected to grace the virtual event which will also discuss the indices of Iron Deficiency in Nigeria and the need for concerted action to address this national health challenge are professionals from private sector and opinion leaders.
The event will also feature a questions and answers session where people will be allowed to ask questions on issues that centre on nutrition and iron deficiency.
Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Nestlé Nigeria, Victoria Uwadoka had, at the concluding session of a three-week virtual training workshop organised for journalists covering Health, Nutrition, Environment and Business, informed the gathering on the company’s plan for a formal launch of the campaign.
“Live Strong with Iron” (LSWI), according to Uwadoka, is aimed at educating the public on the need to eat nutritious foods for a healthier living, while seeking to reach at least 50% of Nigerians with relevant information to increase awareness of iron deficiency, its impact and solutions.
Uwadoka said the issue of iron deficiency has become a national health problem and therefore need the concerted efforts of all and sundry to tackle it, hence the launch of Live Strong with Iron campaign in Nigeria.
