CAMCONIA Holds Inaugural Meeting As New EXCO Unveils 2024 Roadmap

The Corporate Affairs Managers Committee of the Nigerian Insurers Association (CAMCONIA ), today held its inaugural meeting after the election of the new EXCO in December, 2023.
Those elected in December 2023 as executives to steer the ship of the association for the next two years included the Deputy General Manager, Corporate Communications & Investor Relations, Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, Mr. Segun Bankole as Chairman; Chief Marketing Officer, Heirs Insurance Group, Mrs. Ifesinachi Okoli-Okpagu and the Senior Marketing Services Coordinator at Sanlam Nigeria Limited, Bankole Banjo, Vice Chairman and General Secretary respectively.
The new EXCO used the meeting held at the Secretariat of the Nigerian Insurers Association, Victoria Island, Lagos to unveil its administration roadmap for 2024 to its members and the general public.
According to the CAMCONIA Chairman, Mr Segun Bankole, the focus of the association in 2024 amongst other activities, are to strengthen the image of CAMCONIA in the Insurance industry in the country; ensure that Heads of Insurance companies see the value of corporate communications in their organizations; take a place of relevance in industry-related activities that will help enhance the Association’s contributions to the growth of the insurance industry.
Other areas of concentration, he stated, will be to foster good relationship with all industry related parties such as, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) and the regulator, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM); ensure good collaboration with the insurance media community; revive and revitalize the annual CAMCONIA retreats and place a premium on the welfare of CAMCONIA members.
CAMCONIA is the Corporate Affairs Managers Committee of the Nigerian Insurers Association, set up by the NIA to seek common ground in the growth of the Insurance industry in Nigeria.
