Bimalab Nigeria Insurtech Demo Day Holds May 27
The Bimalab Nigeria Insurtech in partnership with National Insurance Commission of Nigeria (NAICOM) and FSD Africa have concluded plans to hold a Demo Day come 27th of May 2022.
The Bimalab Nigeria Insurtech Accelerator programme seeks to support Nigerian insurtech startups that are building innovations in micro-insurance and digital brokerages, B2B data analytics supporting the insurance sector, developing ancillary revenues and insurance add-ons to micro- and small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and SaaS solutions addressing verticals such as agriculture, cyber and climate change.
The Demo Day will present 10 startups that participated in the ten-week accelerator programme that provided them with the expertise, resources, and support to develop and scale market-ready solutions that bring social and/or commercial value to Nigeria’s insurance sector.
The startups include Pay-U Technologies LLC, SL DRA LLC, Insurpass Technologies Ltd, Turaco, Wella Agent, SOSO CARE, Izanu Africa, Gamp Technology Limited, Arteri and PaddyCover Limited.
The demo day will also allow the cohort members the opportunity to pitch their solutions to potential partners, industry stakeholders and investors thus creating visibility for their business and giving them the opportunity to secure funding for their businesses. The event will also have keynote addresses from the program partners and other key players in the Nigerian insurance sector.
