AMLSN holds 14th Annual Public Health Lecture/Induction/Investiture Feb 21-22 in Lagos
The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) is set to hold her 14th annual public health lecture series/201st National Executive Council (NEC) meeting and national induction/investiture of West African Post Graduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (WAPCMLS).
The event is scheduled for Friday and Saturday February 21st and 22nd respectively at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
The goal of the lecture, according to the National Publicity Secretary of the association, Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Casmir Ifeanyi Cajetan, is to mentor young medical laboratory scientists into future entrepreneurs over a given period while the convocation of the WAPCMLS is to build specialists that will bring to bear the highest level of medical laboratory services in Nigeria and beyond.
The NEC Meeting, he said, is convened with the agenda to appraise the recent developments and activities in the country, especially those incidental to the Nigerian health sector, which affects the Medical Laboratory Science Profession.
In attendance at NEC, according him, are members from all the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, including elders of the profession, those from the academia, MLS in Politics, MLS in Business, Guild of Medical Laboratory Directors and other Private Practitioners.
“This is AMLSN initiative as a patriotic and law-abiding Professional body in Nigeria for advocacy, social proclamation and mobilization to create awareness towards among our populace about developments in the Nigeria especially in the health sector, he added.
