AIICO Insurance Plc receives another award
As a result of the company’s pragmatic leadership in various segment of the industry, AIICO Insurance Plc, one of the leading insurance firms in Nigeria, has continued to receive awards and commendations from various quarters of the society.
Latest amongst the awards by AIICO is the one by the Nigerian Actuarial Society (NAS), presented to the management of the firm by Council members of NAS during their visit to AIICO Insurance corporate head office in Lagos.
The award, according to Mr. Kingsley Miller, Secretary, NAS, who led the delegation from NAS to AIICO, said the award was in recognition and appreciation of AIICO’s immense support to the organization.
Miller said AIICO as a concerned corporate citizen, has really been supporting the activities of NAS. “Whenever we are in need and we ask AIICO for any assistance, they have always been there for us and we are very pleased.”
He said the award was one of the ways to show their appreciation for all the support they have been receiving from AIICO.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, AIICO Insurance Plc, Mr. Edwin Igbiti, who received the award on behalf of AIICO, commended NAS for appreciating the company with an award.
It should be recalled that AIICO Insurance Plc. at the 2017 prestigious PEARL Awards ceremony held at Eko Hotel, Lagos won four awards.
The company emerged winner in two categories of the awards: the Sectoral Leadership Awards and the Market Excellence Awards.
The complete lists of the awards include Sectoral Leadership Award in Financial Services – Insurance Sector; Market Excellence Award for Highest Earnings Yield; Market Excellence Award for Highest Return on Equity and Market Excellence Award for Highest Dividend Cover. The company was shortlisted for the overall highest Award, the PEARL.
The PEARL Awards which stands for Performance, Earnings and Returns Leadership, is an organization that is endorsed by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Chief Operating Officer, AIICO Insurance Plc, Babatunde Fajemirokun, at a media parley in Lagos recently, said the company will continue to sustain the achievements that gave them the awards just as he promised that the firm will continue to be at the forefront of change.
He said AIICO with its 55 years of experience in the industry will continue to do everything within its powers to remain at the enviable position.
