AIICO Free Entrepreneurship Programme Records over 250 Participants
Over 250 students of the Lagos State University (LASU) participated in the Free Entrepreneurship Development programme organized by AIICO Insurance Plc for the students of LASU in Lagos.
The programme which was fully sponsored by AIICO Insurance Plc aims at igniting students’ passion and drive for success in their journey through Entrepreneurship.
Speaking exclusively to the Revealer Online about the programme, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of AIICO Insurance Plc, Mt. Edwin Igbiti, said AIICO’s free Entrepreneurship Development Programme, has recorded significant milestones over the years in the area of free entrepreneurship training hence the invitation by the Lagos State University this year, to train and empower students of the institution on Entrepreneurship.
He said AIICO recently commenced the free Entrepreneurship Development Programme as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programmes with the goal of empowering Nigerians with the requisite knowledge and skills for success as entrepreneurs.
Igbiti said AIICO also uses the platform to educate the students on the importance of insurance, its values and benefits as well as the need for them to imbibe insurance culture early enough in life.
“We want to make sure that Nigerian youths with perquisite skills and knowledge with passion and drive for entrepreneurship are adequately empowered and encouraged for success as business men and women, while also educating them on the importance of insurance, its values and benefits and the need for them to imbibe insurance culture early enough in life” Igbiti said.
