COVID-19 Lockdown: Unitrust pays N269m claims in Q1 2020

Unitrust Insurance Company Limited has paid its customers the total sum of
N269,162,424.94 (Two hundred and sixty-nine million, one hundred and sixty-two thousand, four hundred and twenty-four Naira, ninety-four kobo) within the first quarter of 2020.
In a statement obtained from the company today, most of the claims were paid while the country was on Covid 19 lockdown in fulfillment of its avowed commitment to prompt claims settlements.
The statements read further, “we have been working remotely despite the COVID-19 disruption and has remained reachable to our customers via our CRM solutions and other business continuity plans”.
According to the organization, some of the major businesses whose claims were settled Includes: Mouka Foam Limited ( Fire & burglary Policy); Pz Cusson Nigerian limited & Subsidiary (Marine & Fire policy); Sumal Foods limited (Marine Cargo & Goods-in-Transit); RATCON Construction (Engineering & Cash -in -Transit Insurance).
