Why Pensioners Payments are delayed – PTAD
Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has cleared the air on the recent failed payments to some pensioners blaming Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) and banks for the failure.
It has also informed those who did not receive their March pension that their payments will be re-presented.
In its twitter handle PTAD said the failed payment was caused by the failure of the interface/gateway between the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) and the banks.
“We wish to inform our pensioners who did not receive their March pensions that we have represented the payment again. The failed payments were as a result of the failure of the interface/gateway between the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS) platform and the banks. Most affected are First Bank and Union Bank”
