CIIN Organises Christmas Carol to Celebrate Year End
The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) Today organised Christmas carols to celebrate the end of 2019.
The event which took place at All Saints Anglican Church, Yaba, Lagos, was attended by CEOs of Insurance companies and members and associates of the Institute.
The first lesson of the of the occasion titled “The Disobedience of Man” taken from the book of Genesis 3:1-12, by the President of the Institute and Managing Director, Consolidated Hallmark Insurance, Mr Eddie Efekoha.
A total of nine lessons were read. The last lesson of the service titled “The Mystery of Incarnation” from John 1:1-14, was read by the Vicar of the Church, Venerable Dr Femi Fatile.
In his sermon with the topic “Jesus, the Light of Our Conscience,” with Biblical reference from Isaiah 9:2,6, the Vicar extolled the virtues of Jesus, adding that he is the light of our conscience.
He said anyone who’s conscience is dead cannot differentiate good from bad and called on the congregation to embrace Christ the light of the world in every aspect of their lives,
He said Jesus Christ was born the light of the world, adding that those that embrace him will never walk in darkness.
He said if people can believe in insurance as a risk mitigating mechanisms, then there is need for us to believe in the wonderful power of Jesus Christ which he noted that has the power to solve all our problems.
The vote of thanks and closing remarks of the service was given by the Director General of the Institute, Mr Richard Borokini who thanked all for their supports.
Guests were thrilled by special Carol tunes rendered by the choir of All Saints Anglican Church. The Mutual Assurance Special Choir also rendered some special numbers to entertain the audience.
