Fashola, Gen. Akinrinade, Prof. Utomi, Others at Chief Dele Fajemirokun’s Book Launch

Chief (Dr.) Oladele Fajemirokun, author, Making of Me: My Odyssey in Business.

The unveiling of Chief (Dr.) Oladele Fajemirokun’s autobiography titled “The Making of Me – My Odyssey in Business” which took place on Monday, July 15, in Lagos attracted dignitaries and eminent personalities from both the public and private sectors, the clergy, traditional leadership, family and friends from all walks of life who travelled from far and wide to honour him.

Personalities, who took turns on the podium, including General Alani Akinrinade (the Chairman of the occasion), Professor Adebayo Williams (the book Reviewer) and Professor Pat Utomi, shared their experiences and relationships of many years with Chief Dele Fajemirokun, the Author, who has been a great inspiration on entrepreneurship and leadership. The delectable veteran actress, Joke Silva, read excerpts from the book at the occasion.

Dignitaries in attendance included: Mr. Babatunde Fashola (former Minister of Power, Works and Housing), Otunba & Mrs. Niyi Adebayo (Former Governor of Ondo State), Mr. Ernest Ebi (Chairman of Fidelity Bank Plc.), Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede (Chairman, Coronation Capital Limited), Bishop Dele Fajemirokun, Venerable Francis Fajemirokun (Emeritus Professor and former Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos), Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly, Chief Pius Akinyelure (Political Chieftain), Mr.& Mrs. John Momoh, Chairman & Executive Director of Channels Television among many others.

Royal fathers who graced the occasion included HRH Oba Adesimbo Kiladejo (the paramount ruler of Ondo Kingdom), HRH Oba Hezekiah Owolola (the Adimula of Ifewara), Oba Adeleke Basibo (The Alaperu of Iperu), HRH Oba Adewale Osiberu (the Elepe of Epe)and HRHErelu (Dr.) AbiolaDosunmu, etc.

The book is a personal account of Chief Fajemirokun’s grass to grace story; which provided highlights on his humble beginnings and family background and his journey through life in business and his various accomplishments till date. He shed light on how he strove audaciously to create opportunities and thrived against all odds to succeed.

The launch was a remarkable experience with a display of splendour and magnificence, indicative of his success and laudable attainments in life.
