Nestle Calls For Entries For Third Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards
In its continued efforts to reward professionalism and celebrate excellence in journalism, Nestlé Nigeria PLC, a leading nutrition, health, and wellness company, has called for entries for the third edition of its media awards.
The Company made the announcement for the entries in a statement today signed by Victoria Uwadoka, Head, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs & Sustainability and made available to this medium.
Uwadoka who expressed excitement at the launch of the third edition of Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards in the statement, said the award aims to recognize and reward professionalism and excellence in journalism as well as celebrate the outstanding contributions of media professionals in Nigeria.
“The Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards provide a platform for highlighting the expertise and dedication of journalists focused on nutrition, bluilding thriving communities and protecting the planet, across various platforms. This year’s edition promises to be even more remarkable, as it continues to honor those who have demonstrated outstanding skills in reporting, investigative journalism, feature writing, and other categories.
“This platform allows us to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable role that journalists play in shaping public opinion and driving positive change in our society. Nestlé Nigeria remains committed to supporting the media industry and promoting the highest standards of journalism. The Media Awards serve as a testament to this commitment, providing a platform for us to highlight and reward the exceptional talent and professionalism of journalists in Nigeria,” she explained.
“The awards,” according to Uwadoka, “will cover categories aligned with Nestlé’s focus areas, including Affordable Nutrition, Environmental Sustainability, Access to Water, Improving Household Incomes, Youth Empowerment, Women Empowerment, Finance, Building Thriving Communities, Agriculture, Nutrition Education for Children and WASH, published in print, online or broadcast channels. A distinguished panel of judges, comprising industry experts and seasoned communicators, will evaluate the entries based on criteria such as accuracy, originality, impact, balance, depth, and adherence to ethical standards.”
“Winners of the Awards,” she said, “will receive designated prizes, professional development opportunities, and the prestigious recognition that comes with this esteemed accolade. The awards ceremony will be a grand celebration of the media industry, bringing together journalists, media organizations, and key stakeholders.”

NESTLÉ NIGERIA MEDIA AWARDS 2023
Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards (The Awards) was created to reward professionalism and excellence in journalism.
The awards are presented at the annual Gala hosted to celebrate the media for collaborating with Nestlé during the year. The Awards ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday December 8, 2023.
The award highlight stories around Nestlé’s focus areas including nutrition, building thriving communities and protecting the planet, published in mainstream print and online media, as well as in broadcast media.
Scope of Awards:
Participation is open to mainstream, online and broadcast journalists based in Nigeria. These may be individuals or organizations. Qualifying stories must cover Nestlé stories on any of the following areas: Affordable Nutrition, Environmental Sustainability, Access to Water, Improving Household Incomes, Youth Empowerment, Women Empowerment, Finance, Building Thriving Communities, Agriculture, Nutrition Education for Children and WASH.

The following terms and conditions apply exclusively to the Nestlé Nigeria Media Awards 2023.
Mode of Entry:
Entry materials should be uploaded on the link below on or before the close of business on November 3, 2023. How to Enter:
•All entry materials must be works published in mainstream, online or
broadcast platforms in Nigeria on the activities of Nestlé Nigeria PLC or Nestlé as a company from January 1, 2023, to November 3, 2023 – the closing date of the entries for The Awards.
• Supporting documents required for entries should include links to the published works, minimum of 100 words profile of the individual/organization, and a 100-word vivid description of the entry.
• A work can only be entered in one category. A series of photographs on one subject with captions (news or features) will be counted as one entry. • You can only enter one story/published work per category. Multiple entries in the same category by the same individual may lead to disqualification.
Submitting a winning Entry:
• Entries must be submitted strictly by clicking on the link https://forms.office.com/e/xrdmX7mgyk and completing the form provided. Please ensure to include a minimum of 100 words profile of yourself in the space provided.
• You must also provide a vivid description of your entry.
• Each entry must be submitted separately in the case that the applicant has more than one entry which must not be in the same category.
• The number of stories or photographs published during the year under review and submitted in the series (one entry) will be an advantage to the entry by the individual/organization.
