NAIPCO Honours Past Chairmen, Members, Corporate Communications Managers

The National Association of Insurance and Pension Correspondents (NAIPCO) has continued to introduce inspiring and value-added innovations into it’s activities aimed at enhancing a cordial relationship with it’s stakeholders.
Some of the innovations is the introduction of various awards including the Special Awards for Corporate Communications Managers In honour of their supports for NAIPCO; Awards for Past Chairmen of the association in honour of their contributions and for members who consistently attended the association’s end of the year parties with his or her entire family members.
At the 2021 end of year and get-together party held at the premises of NEM Insurance, Ikorodu Road, Lagos, six past Chairmen of NAIPCO including Mr Kelvin Egerue of Champion Newspapers; Mr Roland Okoro, Publisher Risk Shield Magazine; Mrs Favour Nnabugwu, Publisher, Patomabusiness Online; Mr Nnandu Duru, former Insurance Editor, Thisday Newspaper who is now working with the National Pension Commission (PenCom); Mr. Modestus Anaesoronye, Insurance and Pension Editor, BusinessDay Newspaper, and Mrs Omobola Tolu-Kusimo, were honoured for their roles in the establishment and growth of the association.
Two Corporate Communications Managers, one from regulator and one from insurance company, namely: Mr Rasaaq Salami, Head Corporate Communications and Market Development, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), and Mr. Segun Bankole Assistant General Manager Sales and Head Corporate Communication of Sovereign Trust Insurance. They were honoured for their support for NAIPCO over the years.
Some families who received awards at the well attended occasion were the family of Joshua Nse, publisher, AsurPen News, and the family of Modestus Anaesononye of the BusinessDay Newspaper for always attending NAIPCO end of year party with members of their families.
Speaking before the presentation of the awards the the deserving awardees, Chairman, NAIPCO and publisher of Inspen Online, Mr. Chuks Udo Okonta, said the awards were instituted to appreciate those who have distinguished themselves in ensuring the establishment, growth and success of NAIPCO.
He said the award for the pioneer and past Chairmen of the association is in recognition of the roles they played in providing the moulding blocks and also laying a solid foundation upon which NAIPCO is standing today as well as ensuring continued growth of the body.
“To the pioneer and past Chairmen of this great association, we cannot appreciate you enough for the efforts you committed into ensuring that an association such as NAIPCO was established and nurtured to what it is today. It is in recognition of the sterling and steering roles you played that today, the association is honouring you.
“And to those families who have always came to this event in the past with all their family members, we are appreciating you today for your obedient to the objective of the party,” Chuks said.
While appreciating members for their support so far, he called on all to adhere strictly to the tenets of the association in fostering unity amongst members as our collective responsibility to drive the growth of the association.

Mr Modestus Anasoronye’s family also got a gift for coming with his family to NAIPCO party as Mrs Iyabo Ogunjuyigbe handed the gift to them.
