Kidnappers have released 10 more students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna after spending 81 days in captivity.

Kaduna state chapter chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Joseph Hayab, confirmed the development to journalists on Sunday evening.

Hayab, who confirmed that 11 of the students were still remaining in the bandits’ den, expressed hope they would soon be released too.

According to him: “Ten more students of Baptist High School were released this afternoon. We have 11 now with bandits.

“We are thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support. And we trust God that the rest will be released very soon,” he said.

The bandits, July 5, broke into Bethel Baptist High School at Damishi along the Kaduna – Kachia highway, Chikun LG and whisked away 121 students.

They had since been releasing the students in batches after ransom was collected in millions.
