2023 Ijegun Joint CDA Week Celebration Holds Nov. 14-16, 2023
All is now set for the 2023 Ijegun Joint Community Development Area (IJCDA) Week Celebration to hold from Tuesday to Thursday November 14-16, 2023.
The occasion which will take place at the Joy and Glory Events Centre, Akwu Iwu Street by NEPA Bus Stop, Ijegun, will feature Qiuz Competitions and Debates on Social Issues.
Unveiling the programme of activities for the three days event in a statement today, the IJCDA Public Relations Officer, Engr. Ajasa Abiodun also highlighted the rationale behind the annual Ijegun JCDA Week Celebration especially the introduction of quiz competition and debate.
According to him, “This is to create a platform for our Community schools children to sharpen their ability to research and analyze problems, think and listen critically, express thoughts clearly and fluently, and better understand public affairs. And to further increase their confidence and poise and provides constant intellectual stimulation.”
While calling on parents, residents and friends of Ijegun to come out en masse and support the children in any way we can during the quiz competition and debate, Engr Ajasa said IJCDA is determined to ensure the continuity of the annual celebration for the benefits of the children and the growth of Ijegun community in general.
Ijegun is a northern suburban community in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, Nigeria. It is situated between 6.5190oN lat. and 3.2573oE long. bordered in the north and east by Ogun State, in the west by the Republic of Benin and in the south by the Atlantic Ocean. The area is home to oil tank farms.
